Extraordinary General Meeting - Monday 20th November.
Over recent years the ARA have amended the model Constitution for rowing clubs to accommodate inclusion of a number of different categories of people e.g. adaptive, and in order for us to be considered for Club Mark status, which is essential in order for us to apply for National grants, we have updated the Club Constitution to reflect the ARA recommendations. The Constitution can be found on the club website and comments between now and the EGM are welcome. The committee therefore are calling an EGM on Monday 20th November 2006 to approve the new Constitution.

The meeting will take place at 8:00pm and the venue will be:
Old Jarretts Farmhouse
Brantridge Lane
Balcombe

Ardingly Rowing Club BBQ & Sponsored Ergo - Sunday 2nd July at the reservoir starting at 12 mid-day.
Tickets are 5.00 per head which will cover the cost of food. We will be providing drinks for sale as well as a raffle to raise funds for a cox box, rate meters and hopefully blades. Donations of raffle prizes will be gratefully received. Entertainment for children will be provided. Please make every effort to attend and bring your families as this is the first event ARC have held and success is the order of the day.

You should have received a sponsorship form for an Ergo competition to be held on the day. This will be the furthest distance travelled in ten minutes and all members are urged to participate or to sponsor a participant (generously of course).

If you have not received your sponsorship form, lost it or filled it and want another, click here to download another one. (note from WebMaster, Apologies for the quality of the download, I scanned a form and converted it to a PDF, best I could do under the circumstances!

Annual General Meeting - Monday 12th June 2006 at 8.00pm - to be held at Old Jarretts Farmhouse
There is a vacancy for the position of Treasurer and it is imperative that we fill this role. You are urged to consider coming forward to assist the club as it is true to say that over the last six years, the hard work of building the club has largely been completed and as a result this is not the onerous task it was. The position does not need a commitment of more than a year and your help will be greatly appreciated.

With regard to the election of officers, if any of you would like to put your name forward for a position on the committee please find a sponsor and seconder and submit your nomination to the club secretary Susan Taylor.

Apologies - forgotten piece of paperwork
License forms required by the Activity Centre when subscriptions became due were omitted. Click here to download one if you have not yet received one and then return it to Bob Simpson, 1 Kents Farm Cottages, Malthouse Lane, Hurstpierpoint, W Sussex, BN6 9JZ. No money is required with the form.
