A Grand Day Out for Ardingly with 21 crews racing from 9am to 530pm and all helping each other boat, rig, load, cheer and celebrate / commiserate.

Special congratulations to Yasmin and Callum for their first races as Ardingly RC, to Gus for winning his first race (a quarter-final), to Carlos for his first ever win, to Tom F for his first side-by-side race, to Millie and Claudia on two medals each ... and to our six event winning crews!

Open 1x (band 4) : Benedict Weis who beat club-mate Callum in the final

Women's Mas D 4x : Carol, Charlene, Kim and Claudia

Women's 2x (band 1) : Emma Q and Millie (photo below)

Mixed Mas D/E 2x : Carlos and Claudia who beat clubmates Tom and Charlene in the final who had beaten clubmates Jon W and Carol in the semi

Well done to all who competed and to all the family members who came to support.  Special mention to everyone who baked to share with Clubmates (Yasmin, Emma, Ellen, and Claudia who won the bake off with the Club cupcakes with blue and yellow frosting!).



Thank you to Neil B for towing - he left home at 5am and got home at 9pm with the dodgy bit being the last 500m into the Regatta field (and out again).  Everyone got the trailer unloaded and boats rerigged this morning and the trailer back into the field by 845am.  Great team work
