TRAINING

We row in three broad groups, with main club sessions on weekend mornings and individual outings throughout the week. In all cases the coaches and captains decide the appropriate session for each rower.

Session 1 - Adult Performance Squad
Weekend Mornings 7:30 to 9:15am

For women and men of a strong technical competence who wish to train regularly and hard, and race to win at National and International competitions.


Session 2 - Development and Recreational Group
Weekend Mornings 9:30 to 11:15am

A mixed session, including our Junior squad, developing adults and recreational rowers.This session has additional support from coaching/safety launches.


Session 3 - Development and Recreational Group
Weekends 11:30 to 13:15

When we have a large number of learner/development rowers a third session is run. Again, this group have additional support from coaching/safety launches.

Competent individual scullers and crews also plan outings in daylight hours throughout the week.

All members of the club are strongly encouraged to do additional land training, especially during the winter months, to supplement their activity on the water.
